Origins of Mitchell Lodge No. 81 F. & A.M.
Hiram Lodge No. 81 F. & A.M. received its warrant of constitution on March 17, 1800 and met for the first time on March 14, 1800 at Lesher’s tavern in Germantown, Philadelphia when officers of the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania installed the first officers of Hiram Lodge.
Mitchell Lodge No. 81 F. & A.M. was formed as the result of a merger with Gothic Lodge No. 519 on the 1st day of January 1987, Kendrick-Wagner Lodge No. 690 on the 1st day of December 1993, and Mitchell Lodge No. 296 F.& A.M. with Hiram Lodge No. 81 F. & A.M. on the 27th day of December, 2020. Mitchell Lodge No. 81 operates under the jurisdiction of Masonic District D, of the Grand Lodge F. & A.M. of Pennsylvania.
